Simply twisting a knob enables a cook to slice cheeses, meats, vegetables such as tomatoes, fruits such as lemons, and breads with a thickness ranging from paper-thin to about 1/2 inch. The 6-3/4-inch stainless-steel blade handles foods up to about that height and up to about 5 inches wide. Unfolded, the slicer measures 13-1/4 by 7-3/4 by 7-3/4 inches. Folded flat for storage in a cabinet or drawer, it is only 3-3/8 inches thick. Alternatively, a handle on one end slips over a support bracket (included), so the slicer can be hung flat against a wall. Assembling the slicer is simple, as is disassembling it for cleanup, which requires a mild detergent and hand washing.
